I absolutely love going to Lizard Landing Camp! The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are all new and clean, and the people are truly fantastic...great bunch of guys, and the owners are as friendly and helpful as they can be. The pot luck meals are fabulous, and it seems like there's always something fun going on. They've just put the finishing touches on the pool and clubhouse area, and it all looks spectacular. They've got cabins and campers to rent if you don't have your own rig (and if you don't want to sleep in a tent), and soon the playroom will be ready too! Everything considered, I would highly recommend checking this place out...it's the best gay campground in the Southeast.

5 Torches

Although only open for less than a year, this place is awesome...Owners KNOW that they are in a HOSPITALITY business and are SO friendly and helpful. The Saturday potluck dinners are incredible and the other campers are so nice....NOT clickish and are all very friendly! LOVE LIZARD LANDING!!!

we would really like to try and plan a trip and meet some fellow nude campers while we do it! but i cant find any information. any help would be appreciated

Campit has gone downhill in recent years. Filthy bathrooms, trashy work-campers that would likley be homeless if not for Campit, lousy events (Aaron and Jeff were great, but they left 2 years ago), freezing cold "heated???" pool, cheap....very cheap Owners, high priced due to lack of competition and lots of regulars have left for all these reasons. VERY STRAIGHT AND LESBIAN FRIENDLY

I have been a regular at Buckwood for eight seasons and I can tell you that Ben, Darrel and Cody have built an amazing community of respectful, low drama level, no attitude and attractive men.
Yes the camp has some basic common sense community rules (such as checking in by 10PM) these are in place for safety reasons, the owners want to make sure that campers are in a safe place.
I am sorry that some people didn't have a good time but the overwhelming majority of guys who gone with me to Camp Buckwood come back with stories of their great weekend, new friends and comments about the hot guys.
If you like to meet great, nice, laid-back, fun and attractive guys I am looking forward to meeting you on one of my visits this Summer.

4.9 Torches
Contrary to the review below, my partner, child and I had a wonderful experience. The restrooms were very clean (not sure where the commenter below saw holes), amenities were fantastic, staff was helpful and kind. We have a 35 foot and had no problems with electricity. I would recommend this establishment across the board.
An A + review.

I have to say, this is definetely the most relaxing thing i have done since i came out.. I am a countryboy/rodeo guy who was always very shy and never able to break lose doing anything in the gay lifestyle. I have been camping for the past 3 years here now and thanks to everyone, including the owners, they have made me feel right at home from the first time there. There is no pressure from anyone and i can be myself. Thanks again Michael and Jeff. Tj
