We are two guys that grew up camping with our families, who happen to be gay. From pitching a tent in the woods to lounging in our fifth-wheel trailer, we have a broad background in camping. We are also proactive in the advancement of our community! Typically, we attempt to have a positive affect on the world.
Some time ago we found ourselves at a gay campground talking about the limited amount of information available about GLBT campgrounds, what brought us to this particular campground and how to build a stronger more cohesive GLBT camping community. That conversation brought about the creation of Gay2zCamping.com. We have set out to bring information to the GLBT community about everything anyone could possibly want to know about GLBT Camping in North America. Our objective is to build a stronger community of GLBT campers and campgrounds and develop a stronger awareness of “GLBT Campgrounds” within the larger community in a safe environment; that is always accessible. The goal of this website is to make everyone’s camping experience better—both camper and campground owner alike. We believe that in creating greater unity and visibility of the GLBT camping community, we can foster better relationships within our local communities and with the companies we all do business with. To that end, we would like you to join us, have fun, and help us make camping/RVing an even greater way to enjoy life.
Gay2zCamping.com is the first website of its kind for our community and the most fully featured. We have, and continue to put together more information about gay campgrounds than can be found on any other web site. Gay2zCamping.com offers complete campground listings, including campground reviews and evaluations, local information, weather, maps, and loads of other information to make your camping journey safer, more fun and exciting.
We are committed to providing you with the best information available, by visiting campgrounds and posting evaluations, reviews, photos and blogs. Although we are avid campers we are not the gurus of gay camping. Gay2zCamping.com not only allows, but also encourages community participation, unlike others that only invite you to be a spectator. We want and need your reviews, evaluations and other input to enrich the experiences of the gay camping community. Together we are all providing our community with a complete look at the campgrounds.
“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.” ~ Maya Angelou (American Poet, b. 1928)
